Hi-Herald (Newspaper)

Advisor: Ann McKenzie, Room 103

After taking Journalism 1, sign up for Journalism 2 and be part of a 100% student-run newsmagazine where all decisions are made by student editors! Being a part of the Hi-Herald staff is a great way to put your communication talents to work in the "real world" and feel a great sense of accomplishment. Staff members enjoy putting their talents to work whether they are in photography, writing, designing, graphic arts, business, art, etc. to publish a monthly publication. Hi-Herald staff members also enjoy traveling around the U.S. twice a year to the two high school national journalism conventions where they compete against 5,000 other students around the nation. Being on the Hi-Herald allows you to showcase your talents in our monthly newsmagazine, apply for an internship at the Tribune, apply for a wide variety of scholarships, travel and U.S., compete for national recognition, and give you something to be a part of during your high school career.

I am SO EXCITED that our HiHerald newspaper has a website!! We are covering the news like we normally do, but we are also featuring our music talent, Student Update, Lit. Mag., and art students! We also have an APP, so you can get notifications when we post new stories, videos, and pictures. Go ahead and follow the links below:

Website: www.bhsnews.org
APP info:
The content for bhsnews.org is now available in the Student News Source App in both the Apple App Store and the Google Play Store.
Here are links to the apps in both stores:

Android users: https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.snosites.studentnewssource

Once you download the Student News Source App, open the app and start by searching for your school. Once you select your school, you'll be prompted to customize what push notifications you would like to receive, and then you'll be taken to the main content screen for your site in the app. The next time you open the app, it will automatically default to your site's content.
