DECA

Advisor: Mrs. Korslien, Room 307

DECA prepares emerging leaders and entrepreneurs in marketing, finance, hospitality and management. DECA members learn strategies that will help them become successful in both college and career paths.

Eligibility Requirements:
Students in grades 9-12 who are interested in a business or marketing career field. Taking a business or marketing course is highly recommended as the content in these courses elevates the student’s level of competition.

Time Commitment:
Meetings are most Wednesdays at 7:45 am. No meetings on the last Wednesday of each month.

DECA members can also attend the Fall Leadership Conference (2 days – optional for officers and new members) and a State Competition Conference (3 days – optional). Students who qualify at the State level will have an opportunity to attend the International Conference (4 days – by invite only). Additional commitments will depend on the activities/fundraisers the group chooses to take on.
